Happy 30th!
June 8th, 1984 was a helluva a day at the movies. Both Gremlins, and Ghostbusters were released in theaters 30 years ago yesterday! As we reported last Friday, Sony Pictures will be re-releasing Ghostbusters in the theaters this Labor Day! Maybe we can get a petition going to get Warner Bros. to do the same with the greatest Christmas movie made and make it a double feature on Labor Day! You heard it here first remember!
Some numbers from 1984:
Ghostbusters made 13.6 million its opening weekend and spent 5 weeks at the number one spot.
Gremlins made 12.5 million on its opening weekend and ended up being the 4th highest grossing film of the year.
Wanna Feel The Little Kid Inside You Die A Little
In an interview with MTV news on the set of TMNT, Megan Fox, who plays April O'Neil, talks about the Turtles, and then sings the theme as well as Vanilla Ice's song from Turtles 2. Yeah, I'm gonna go cry now...video below or mobile users can click here.

Josh Trank (Chronicle) has been announced as a director of a yet to be named Star Wars stand alone movie set to be released in 2016. They're Here To Save The World...30 Years Later
In order to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of Ghostbusters, Sony Pictures will re-release the film to a select 700 theaters on Labor Day weekend. I don't know about you but they've got my $10.50. Sony has also launched a new website on the film and it will update us all on where we can catch the masterpiece when it comes time. Check it out by clicking here!
